Assalamualaikum..
A lot of knowledge that I have gained in these this course especially
about Teaching and Learning by using ICT tools. Before this I did not know
about the software STELLA which is one of the software that can help us in conducting
experiment Science experiment by using simulation. Now i would like to share to
all of you about STELLA

STELLA is a software package used by thousands of educators
and researchers for model building and simulation. It can be used to study
everything from physics to economics, literature to calculus, chemistry to
public policy. Based on Systems Thinking and Systems Dynamics, STELLA is powerful
tools for creating environment that allow students at all levels to learn by
doing. STELLA models provide endless opportunities to explore by asking
"what if" and watching what happens, inspiring the exciting moments
of learning.
Here I’ll show you one example about simple pendulum experiment.
In this experiment I’ll change the length of the string as manipulated variable
that give effect to time to complete one oscillation.

The advantages of using simulation where students having a real situation of phenomena and process which may be too slow, too fast, too dangerous or too expensive to do in the school laboratory. Other than that, student can also experience and feel by itself the real situation like movement of atom that cannot be seen by naked eye. It will give a rough explanation and student will visualized the process clearly. In my opinion, student gets more attracted towards learning process when teacher using this ICT tools because this tools is more close and will communicate or reacted with us.
Advantages of using modelling, student will clearly seen the relationship of one system and relate with the topic that learnt on school. This understanding through modelling will further apply to enhance the topic with more complex applications.
For me as a teacher ,this simulation and modeling must be exposed to the student regularly because it really help student to better their understanding. Create a simulation and modelling that related to the environment of the student. It will make student to relate and apply it easily.
Easy right!! We can conduct an experiment without setup an apparatus.
